A leach field, also known as a septic drain field or seepage field, is a subsurface wastewater disposal system. It is
an area of land where the soil absorbs liquid waste from a septic tank. In a typical drain line installation, the septic
tank is connected to the drain field via a series of underground pipes. These pipes are laid in trenches filled with gravel
or sand, which help disperse the wastewater into the soil. The wastewater is then filtered and absorbed by the soil, where
it is naturally broken down.
